Today’s laboratory workflow has changed dramatically since you waxed a crown or set denture teeth in dental school. Digital CAD/CAM technology has opened up a whole new palate of improved materials such as Zirconia and Titanium to utilize for dental restorations. Greg and Dianne Nash never skimp on technology, employee training or the materials that we utilize. Greg is known as an industry leader in all aspects of dental CAD/CAM processes for . In fact, many other quality-oriented laboratories send us their cases to design and mill. Producing these digital restorations in-house for our clients gives us control of the quality and production times required for our 5-star customer service. Below are a few of the workhorse tools that we use every day.
The major share of our CAD (Computer Aided Design) is done with the industry leading 3Shape scanner. We design most of our copings, bridge frameworks, and full-contour (IPS e.max, Zirconia and gold) restorations virtually. The 3Shape system is extremely precise and consistent. This workflow helps our experienced technical team be even more efficient and effective.
This is the machine that made 3M’s Lava synonymous with layered Zirconia restorations and was Nash Dental Lab’s first major investment in CAD/CAM technology. That was about 8 years ago, but this being an ‘industrial quality” milling machine, it is still going strong!
We now routinely do both wet (Titanium) and dry (Zirconia) milling at Nash Dental Lab. Our iMes-iCore mill accomplishes both to perfection. This mill is state-of-the-art and industrial quality.
Intraoral scanning in is on the rise and will become the industry standard. Our Stratasys printer converts open .stl files that you upload directly to us (Contact Us above) into ultra-precise working models. In fact, this 3D printer can easily fabricate intricate gear systems and other integrated designs that will blow your mind! It has the precision and efficiency that makes it perfect for your scans and our dental lab.
We’d love to show you our lab and how we produce the cases you send. It’s not the methods you remember from dental school. Give us a call to schedule some time to take a walk-around tour with us today…and bring your dental team!
