The highest quality dentures are now being produced through digital workflows. Daniel Lee of Nash Dental Lab presented a detailed update featuring Ivoclar’s new digitally designed and milled denture offering at Dr. Tinou Roncone’s ITI Study Club in Temecula, CA last week. This workflow produces dentures that fit more accurately, reducing patient sore spots and post-op appointments. They are also produced with industrially produced Poly Methyl Methacrylate Acrylic (PMMA) mill stock which yields appliances that are much more stain and odor resistant than dentures fabricated through “pack processing” and other traditional methods. Moreover, it is common for denture fabrication to be completed in 3-4 patient appointments.
